I am unreasonably excited about self-driving. It will be the first technology in many decades to visibly terraform outdoor physical spaces and way of life. Less parked cars. Less parking lots. Much greater safety for people in and out of cars. Less noise pollution. More space reclaimed for humans. Human brain cycles and attention capital freed up from “lane following” to other pursuits. Cheaper, faster, programmable delivery of physical items and goods. It won’t happen overnight but there will be the era before and the era after.

At a hush-hush Berkeley meetup, 30 elite mathematicians tried to stump OpenAI’s o4-mini with unsolved math problems and… it mostly failed.
The AI cracked complex challenges in minutes, showing reasoning skills one scientist called “frightening.”
It even got cheeky:
“No citation necessary because the mystery number was computed by me!”
Despite offering $7,500 bounties for every unsolved problem, the humans struggled to outwit it.
One expert likened the AI to a top-tier grad student—only faster, sharper, and possibly tireless.
Mathematicians left stunned, shaken, and very much outpaced.

@MrRyanLeister Making Lemina captain this season has been a mistake, a guaranteed starter but he has been quite poor, he's been too emotional, the pressure has been weighing heavily on him, perhaps GON is now finally recognising this, we were better in the second half when he was off the pitch.

A tremendous comeback and hopefully a platform to build on.
When it’s not going for you it feels like you’re punished for everything, but it still didn’t stop Wolves today.
Being punished for a mistake in the first half promoted a change in shape at the break & it was one that improved the visitors.
After being the better side as it went late into the game, going 2-0 down felt like another kick in the teeth & yes it’s only a point but it feels way more significant than that.
Life in old dog yet.
