So proud of the amazing people @univcan. Strong. Dynamic. Diverse. @Univcan has been a top employer for 14 years —a place where people can have an impact and where we celebrate people’s achievements.

In our meeting during my hiring process in 2003, Katherine encouraged me to turn my interest in the role of media during the Rwanda Genocide into a major project. With her support, the Rwanda Initiative was created, a five-year program to foster journalism education in Rwanda.

Honoured to attend today's emotional memorial service for Katherine Graham, the legendary public policy scholar and former Dean of the Faculty of Public Affairs at Carleton. She hired me in 2003. One friend called her "a mentor, a steady presence and a cheerleader, all at once."

This one was deeply personal. I spoke about my dad, Randy Watt, and what it means to live through active grief while losing someone to #ALS. To every person and family going through this - you are not alone. I look forward to a day we beat this terrible disease. 💜@ALSCanada

Six years ago, at Maisonneuve Rosemont Hospital in Montreal, I received the stem cell transplant that saved my life.   Like many others, I am here today not only thanks to the generosity of my donor and a stem cell transplant, but also thanks to the compassion, kindness, and excellence of the healthcare professionals at the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital.   Last night, I had the chance to thank them and celebrate their remarkable work.

#uOttawa

Tim gave SO freely and frequently of himself so we would all better understand the sacrifices Canadians make in war. And we all relied on and enjoyed his insight. What an understatement to say this is terrible. We are all sending love to his family. cbc.ca/news/canada/ot…

Sharing this Jewell of Halifax and Nova Scotia with @ukings students in collaboration with. Chris Miller @NSwilderness has been an annual highlight of my times at King’s, made more special by the role the two of us played in its protection. Thank you Chris!

The world of Ontario politics is poorer tonight. Jim Bradley was a touchstone for so many of us across Party lines. Funny, smart, reasonable and sharp always. I hope he and Peter Kormos are having a laugh wherever they are. Sorely missed already. So very sad.
The Rundown@therundowntvo

Jim Bradley was a 41-year veteran of Queen’s Park, a determined advocate for his hometown, and was called Ontario’s best environment minister. He was also just a super nice guy, writes @spaikin #onpoli tvo.org/article/jim-br…
