Did fall asleep in the car yesterday. But thankfully only when waiting to pick up @serenshaw from dance.

Can't stay awake on the bus, keep opening eyes & trying to work out where I am & if I've missed my stop. Doesn't bode well for picking up the car & driving back

Fixed 10 minutes ago, still nothing coming out of the tap. Maybe @unitedutilities have a different definition of "Complete" ? Never lived in a place with so many water supply disruptions. #nowater

Just got call from garage. Too late to pick up car now, so it'll have to be tomorrow - got a gap of 2 and a half hours, between presentation finishing at 10 & meeting at 12:30. Just enough time to get 2 buses to Rochdale & drive back. Sounds like a stressful morning. #car

That's a first. Health check comments: "Pad & brakes absolutely fine.. perfect surface.. plenty of meat on there.. suspension tip to toe absolutely perfect, no issues.. spot on condition". I guess when you spend enough, there's a point where they can't find anything to do. #car

Well green bin didn't turn up this week either, so after 2 weeks & garden waste piling up, begrudgingly paying Oldham Council £10 for new one (will take it off May council tax, but still annoying). 15 working days...?! What are they doing, 3D printing it? #greenbin #counciltax

Arrived home & realised I'd forgotten to get milk. That's a bit unfortunate. No breakfast then, but that does remind me I need to top up @serenshaw's dinner money account...

Seriously misjudged the weather - freezing without a coat. Even on the bus - someone opened a window to alleviate the body odour smell, which I appreciated, but can no longer feel my fingers #swingsandroundabouts #buslife

256GB memory card that I bought for £23 in 2022 just cost me £48 in 2026. For Cerys' phone, but cost is a significant proportion of a new phone, so not sure if it was worth it. Thanks AI. Bad for the environment, bad for people's cognitive skills and bad for memory prices. #AI

Can't put it off any longer, £1056 credit card payment due on 28th is going to have to be paid today. As an added bonus, water bill of £372 also due this month (but that can be delayed by at least a month - never pay that on time). Car service next week. New bin. Terrible April.

On upside, thanks to delaying council tax only going overdrawn £299 this month. On downside, £721 overdrawn next month. Fundamental flaw is that new budget was predicated on me spending nothing beyond essential outgoings. Didn't factor in dentist, scarifier, shredded wheat etc.

Surprising twist from @MENnewsdesk - they've got a paywall. Was always reluctant to click on any MEN link because of terrible website, which was basically an ad delivery system. Quickly used up all my free articles on random pages, so won't be tempted to click on any more links

Used to get 1st replacement bin free - now @OldhamCouncil charge £10 (even if you've just moved in & there's no bins). Not too bothered though, will just knock it off next month's council tax. Pretty sure that's allowed & a solid defence that will stand up in court #greenbin
