Moderated by Nafeesa Begum, Chief Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Officer at First American (India) this session featured insightful speakers Keshav Suri, Executive Director of The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, and Pavithra YS, Founder and MD of Vindhya e-Infomedia Pvt. Ltd. Keshav, who identifies as gay man, shared his journey and highlighted the importance of hearing from representatives of Historically Excluded Groups (HEGs) in DEIB efforts. With the hospitality industry boasting diverse workforce representation, Keshav provided valuable insights into progress in DEIB from multiple angles. Pavithra shared her powerful insights and spoke about Vindhya, an organization that empowers individuals from socially disadvantaged groups and those with disabilities. It serves as a testament to the transformative impact of DEIB initiatives. The session emphasized the importance of holding leaders accountable for creating inclusive workplaces.
