@LaynaLazar they were trying to replicate her memory through the clones for the password, it’s why them emphasized memory in the lore. they assumed she had the knowledge and the clones never did because they weren’t the real her. as for how she found out, they got lazy with writing tbh

Guys, with all this brain off time on Pokopia..I've been thinking. Did Zeno and Victor really just keep Grace alive to get a password? Why clone her? She isn't even technically unique or special, she just.. Watched a video and figured out a password. Am I missing something?

@zeldevil the way his voice actor said “a blind hope”, tone felt so negative it had made me think no matter what hope can still be useless and “blind”. despite his hope to do better there’s only so much you can do, bad things can still happen despite having hope. I chose to trust leon 😭

@Suppressor @xosnows @KillaKreww keep in mind her fathers death was YEARS ago. more than enough time for him to have realized she and her mother was never at fault for her fathers doing, and she wasn’t at fault for her fathers death. he wasn’t greats towards her, she’s valid for not caring more.

@Suppressor @xosnows @KillaKreww - he blamed her and her mother for their father leaving his mother (they’re step siblings) - blamed her when their father died of cancer - did not help rae when she was solo taking care of their dying father - if you watch the clip you get more info of his behavior towards her

@esperavt we’ve been playing these characters so long too, i think it’s more sad and meaningful to play the end of a character than to watch it through another characters eyes. (Think RDR2 vs TLOU2)

@esperavt i kind of the opposite 😅 i think they’re finally letting go of legacy characters IN re9 and closing out their stories in whatever happens in raccoon city. i find it better than never bringing any back and getting the end of their stories from a new game with new protagonists

hot take: i don't like that Leon is making a re-appearance in RE9. it feels like capcom is unwilling to let legacy characters go and need them to show up in order to jingle keys in yalls face. he's become the posterchild of requiem now and grace feels forgotten.

@esperavt i’m sad we haven’t gotten jill in SO long tho. but i think it’s more likely they bring the legacy characters back in a revelations game or the animated movies than mainline games again after re9 :(
