Listening to Hussey and the big Heads of CSK — it's very evident that CSK sees Kartik as a long term project. Kartik will be backed at number 4 in the upcoming games too, until or unless the situation is something that demands something different at that given moment. His SR is an issue but can't neglect that this same 20 Y old guy with a cold head finished 2 games which most of the guys of his age group won't be able to do because of their untimely aggression.

Instead of a classic drive, he planted his foot and tried to "shovel" it away. Because he isn't a natural slogger, he got stuck in no man's land—neither over the ball for control nor under it for power. He’s sacrificing his class just to audition for the captain’s role.
