Nice @FarmersWeekly article about #KingCharlesIII . It featured neighbour Ally @Wyefarm a local #Herefordshire tenant of his. On the land he rents and farms I love the 70 trees planted either side of #A49 near #Rossonwye to celebrate #Landlord’s last milestone Birthday!

@OpenreachHelp Turnwater Ltd. Carried out manhole clearance work for @WeAreOpenreach 20-22 September, at Wilton Ross-on-Wye. They deny the waste dumping but have kindly spent 7 hours today clearing it up
English

After last weeks waste dumping, I found out who the sub-contractor was for @WeAreOpenreach, and they’ve now come to clean up the mess, whilst denying it was them, from 30+ miles away… as a gesture of good will from one ‘local’ business to another 🤷♂️

Thanks @NationalHways for pumping this hazardous waste onto our field, very appropriate disposal. @EnvAgency @DaveThroup

Health and safety level 1 not being followed at @CerealsEvent - event staff tearing about, two people on a quad with no helmets, doesn’t set a good example

@loweroddfarm @RossLead @cffertilisers Calling out poor practice is great, but we can’t tarnish everyone in a sector. A phrase like ‘typical dairy farmer’ isn’t helpful. As always there’s a broad spectrum of approaches in all sectors, good and bad, this is clearly poor practice but I don’t know the circumstance.
English

@pbrewer1 @RossLead @cffertilisers Only saying what I see with my own eyes far too frequently. Fortunately some value their muck and spread it very accurately. Sadly those that don’t for whatever reason not only get us a bad name are wasting a valuable asset.
English

I’m 🤔 a little more precision would have been appropriate when applying this FYM? @cffertilisers

English

@loweroddfarm @RossLead @cffertilisers Bit offensive to single out a sector of the industry, could easily say its a typical arable farmer that’s thought they’d get some ‘cheap’ FYM, borrowed a spreader and run it at 540rpm rather than 1000rpm. But who knows, you can’t judge a farm by a single picture.
English

@RossLead @cffertilisers Typical dairy farmers spreading! Unfortunately many of these produce so much they don’t care how it’s spread as long as it’s on the field!

As part of my dissertation @HarperAdamsUni I am researching the poultry manure application practices of River Wye farmers
If you’re a farmer or stakeholder in the area, I would value your opinion in this short survey below👇

@BeaumontRobert @campbellclaret @RoryStewartUK I thought the first ep was great, well balanced from both sides, no real mud slinging, just acceptance of the each other’s views and opinions. And seemingly a common goal of just making the world better.
English

@campbellclaret becoming slightly more tolerable with age. However @RoryStewartUK is on the money. This country definitely needs people like you. Don’t leave it too long before you’re back. podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the…

I like my news to be child abuse free, should I now boycott all journalism because this one has been caught abusing children? Or is this just a bad person? Asking for a friend #teamdairy
British farmers don’t abuse cows, British journalists don’t abuse children (but this one did)

English

@GeorgeMonbiot Were any children abused during your work as a journalist? Because no cows have been kicked or abused during my work as a dairy farmer. Let’s not tarnish everyone in an industry because of a very small minority of sick ba**ards.
