Can someone explain to me the circumstances under which an agent never replies after requesting a full submission? I'm sure there's some reason but NEVER HEARING BACK sounds like torture. #amquerying #writingcommunity

@AlyssaMatesic once upon a time, it was to save someone's life, and sometimes it still is that, but also, my brain is a fun place, and transferring that place to other electrons is fun. and other people like that place too. <3

I want to know: Why do you write? Most people say they want to write a book at some point in their lives, but very few actually follow through. When writing gets tough (and trust me, it will), the reason you write is what'll keep you going — so take a second and jot it down. What's your "why"?

Very sad day… 😢💔 Brittany was one of the hardest working women in publishing. She helped edit all of my YA books and many short stories. When she started her own publishing company—she signed me as one of her first authors. She was a big personality. I will miss her deeply 🌹
