We’re being asked that ‘every curriculum subject have at least 1 'meaningful' careers session planned’ they want outside providers 2 offer something. I’m stuck as I don’t have contacts outside my small circle of friends.
Any ideas of who I can contact to provide KS3 sessions?
@LFC ticket ballot is awful. I bought 2 memberships for nearly £50 (me and son) just for the privilege and opportunity to get tickets, only to be told no in nearly 12 games I’ve tried.
Just a way of making more money!!
So angry with an honest 8yr old

Couldn’t get Ariana grande tickets in the 02 presale today. But shock horror they’re on viagogo for 100%mark up on face value or in some cases 200/300% mark up.
The system is a joke, people get ripped off by touts all the time!!😡 I have one disappointed daughter!
@MissOakley We did 2 days. One year for half a day each. Rounders, dodgeball, bench ball.
All year split into teams named after a PE member of staff. Kids loved it.
Each year had a winner and then an overall winner.
Loads of participation
I’ve always thought a traditional sports day was key to a successful sports day however, our set up this year has opened my eyes! Loving this years Sports week and how every student is engaged in some form of activity!
@AerLingus why can’t I book seats if I booked through a TP? My TP says they can’t do it and I have to contact you! I have a party of 10 inc 3 children that I don’t want split up. MAN to MCO. July travel
@AerLingus been trying to get a decent answer from you. Why can’t I book seats when I have booked through third party and I have a valid aer lingus booking number? I have party of 10 inc 3 children. Will we be seated together?
Man to MCO
@MrsBeardPE That’s great thanks. Do you have any written element to formally evidence knowledge of skills/rules etc? Our school is looking at having PE do a written test!
@pcrookesPE We developed these strands. Assess different ones depending on the activity and rotate through KS3. Have assessment statements for 1-3, 4-6 and 7-9 for each to assist staff. RAG to each pupils target range. Really helps with feedback to parents.
Can the PE world please post on here how they assess in PE? Is it all based on practical performance? How do you evidence knowledge? Is there any formal written assessment? #PhysicalEducation#PE#assessment
@MissOakley Ive looked at that too. My query is how you assess and report to parents? Is it subjective based on teacher visual observations of what the children do? Or is there a theoretical element that is written and non subjective?
@pcrookesPE We are currently looking into this. We have moved away from a skill focus and now adopting a concept curriculum and after a new way to assess.
@OCR_PhysEd I am trying to ascertain if the UMS calculation used in the January 25 and the June 24 sports studies exam is going to be the norm going forwards? I am struggling to advise students on best way forwards to those who possibly accredit from Jan 25.
@MartinSLewis my unit rates have gone up more than 10% in the April rise? How is this allowed given the 6.4% cap rise?
6.31p to 6.99p gas and 25.76p to 28.50p elec
Would this be because standing charges have not gone up 6.4% or am I missing something?

What info does your school ask that you have on your schemes of work?
Doesn’t have to be PE based, just a general question about the size of them and what are key things you have on them and what isn’t asked for.
@pcrookesPE Similar for us, (not me directly)! You’ve got this 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 we are one day in… thinking of moving this unit to year 11 next year (starting in year 10 after Easter and doing through to Oct/Christmas..
how does yours fit it?
