@realEstateTrent This tweet implies it is cheaper to rent than to own a comparable home. In many markets, this is true. In others, it is not necessarily true. Generally good to avoid overly generalizing topics such as these.

Say I buy a house for $4M. Say I put $1.5M down. I can make 20% a year on that $1.5M if I use it to invest in strip malls. That’s $300k a year I’d be giving up. That home is a terrible use of capital. But great for the family.
