I paid ₹3500 for 1 gym session in Singapore. That’s a monthly membership back in India.
Here’s what the difference looked like :
1. You get what you pay for : SGD 50 for one session - But I walked out feeling like I underpaid. Every detail was thought through. The lighting. The temperature. The music. The smell. Nothing was an afterthought. They justified every penny.
2. When they charge, they deliver :
Dysons in the changing room. Not one - a whole row. A pool that overlooked the Singapore skyline. A terrace where you could sit after your workout and just breathe. A cafe with actual good food.
3. Fitness felt like self-care, not punishment :
I finished my workout and sat in the cafe for 30 minutes. Just sat there. Didn’t want to leave. It wasn’t like a task I crossed off my list, It was an experience I wanted to repeat.
4. The environment made me want to show up :
You know how kids don’t need motivation to go to a playground? They just go. No negotiation. No discipline required. The place itself pulls them in.
5. No one was watching.
No stares. No unsolicited advice. No one waiting for your machine with that look. No trainer interrupting to sell you a package. You could just exist. Focus. Be invisible in the best way.
This is what respecting the customer looks like.
They took my money and gave me everything. Not the bare minimum. Everything. Like they wanted me to come back.
Need more such experiences in India.

For the 2nd year running I have a share in a horse set to run at Flemington on Melbourne Cup. However given the weather forecast for Monday and Tuesday in Melbourne is quite frankly rancid I’m not sure Cable Dancer will actually run. Shame the race isn’t on Sunday when it’s set to be sunny and 31!

@fatwaz @DarranPearce I actually paid my $60 to join just for the fun of it with the thought that I'll get no return but would be fun. To be fair all info has been pretty honest not one update has said back it!

@DarranPearce The first takeaway I'd have from reading that is hopefully if they've told the owners not to worry first 3 races. If on the other hand its all " working well on the gallops primed for a big run" then it's not on at all.
My second takeaway is who the hell is big John? 😂

I think microshares have a place and I think you have to remember the chances of them selling all 2000 shares are slim, but whilst I know they have to sell shares and sometimes horses don’t replicate on the track what they show at home, you have to wonder how truthful they have been here

£60 shares - 2000 shares available 120k a year horse given the old 'plenty of pace at home, showing plenty of ability, will be lots of fun' BEATEN 19L 9/10 26L 8/8 51L 7/7 in 3 career starts. Even Robin Hood wore a mask.
