Fun morning discussing the importance of peatlands to over 100 A-Level students. Best question was “can I build a peatland in my garden?” #PeatTwitter

Great to see that @HPSterk hard work in the field has produced this new paper. Especially enjoyed our fieldwork that summer in @TheFlowCountry!

Hello #PeatTwitter! My first thesis chapter is out as a paper, finally. If you're interested in CO2 fluxes up in northern Scotland and how they varied during and after the 2018 drought, wonder no more. @Flowsresearch @ERI_UHI @RSPBScotland @PlantlifeScot onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ec…

Line Rochefort visit in Scotland: impressive restoration of afforested blanket bogs in @TheFlowCountry led by Roxane Andersen and @RSPBNorthScot. After cutting trees, incorporating them into the peat and doing a more thorough job of blocking the ditches, Sphagnum is growing well!
