It's time to address some things, and I'm only going to say it once. We have grown to become one of the largest brands in the space and therefore a lot of attention. With attention comes jealously and rumors, so I'm here to address any and all of them. So AMA!
1) This guy's name is John and he changed his name.
That one is funny. Never changed my name. John Matthew it's always been. It's on the degree on my wall behind me on my stream. First born son in our family is always a John (I'm like 5th or 6th). But mom wanted a Matthew. So I always went by my middle name. But both names there since birth. All business and legal filings is all John to this day, but I've always gone by Matthew - or Matt, if you want me to bust out my kindergarten math trophies or t-ball jersey photos to show you "Matthew" I can lol.
2) How do we know he's an engineer
Repeating: degree on my wall behind me on stream. I graduated Cum Laude, third in my class. Did research for the head of the department on the project that created the diesel engine catalytic converter that our planet enjoys today. I was even on the news at our facility sponsored by Schlumberger. I was the undergrad research peon, but still got to work on the catalyst recipe for one of the most substantial environmental impact projects in the history of the EPA.
3) He's not a coder, he vibe coded x/y/z...
I wrote a PacMan clone when I was 12 from scratch. Self taught Turbo Pascal / C++. First language was BASIC. Currently wrote Rocket Scooter's options data feed analyzer running 50 threads on five dedicated server machines into an algorithm that uses Python to compile the data into Hedge Pressure.

4) This guy buys views and followers.
"Why are there so many impressions and no comments on this one post?" It's called an ad. I have never once, and I mean never once bought a single view, sub, impression outside of the traditional course of running ads. Every business from Webull to Nike runs ads. That is ok to do ya know.
Ads target impressions. People see the ad, scroll on, it counts as an impression. Truly mind blowing how dumb this space is. You reading this post you probably scrolled past 10 ads this morning alone just to get here.
Apart from the occasional ad, 100% of my engagement and views are legit. I have a verified badge on YouTube and a 100k subs silver creator award. Neither is possible with purchased engagement. Google is pretty smart, they invented the internets duh. My 160k subscribers are in fact 100% legit. Sorry to burst your bubble.
5) This guy makes no money trading.
I made over $1mil trading props and personal in quarter one alone. It's documented. I withdrew $800k from my personal "one million challenge" account via three withdrawals in March. I'm live with four prop firms and currently. And in May my profit so far this month alone is $105k PNL between Lucid and TakeProfit Pro+ - it's all on my feed. Lucid account #3,4,5 ... not 1000. Great ROI there.
6) This guy is a horrible trader / gets lucky / strategy doesn't work

My students and I get lucky a lot, every time, every tournament. Every year. Me too. I'm one lucky mofo. I teach how to be lucky every time in my bootcamp. Take us to Vegas with this amount of luck.
7) This guy started a hedge fund
Secret's out. I'm not just some youtuber or prop trader. I have an NFA ID and so does the fund. It was registered by the top securities advisory team (lawyers) in Houston. Legal charter filed, company was an LLC. 100% Legit. Not all trading is prop evals kiddies. I don't talk about it because it's not really the business of fintwit. Just like I don't talk about other businesses I own. But SEC filings are public... so here we are. These Sherlocks over here acting like they discovered fire.
I'm actually in three investment groups. One invests in hospitals, restaurants, clubs, and more. One is a pimp service that collects money from your mom. I just don't post about that because I don't want you degens leaving fake yelp reviews about my stuff I own outside of trading duh.

Anyway group of investors started a small commodity pool back in 2020. And it was small, total ~$400k, to date I am the biggest investor - so it's mostly my money. Purpose was to hedge the volatility of covid as nobody knew the greater impact of shutting down the globe for what could have been years of craziness. We were protecting our greater wealth and assets beyond the market by hedging inside the market. I didn't get paid a salary or take fees, I didn't "take money from people" lol, it's an LLC. We started it together. There's no "me" in this. It's a group of partners collaborative together. I didn't take anything. I deposited in - a few trolls have a wild imagination going off a single form D someone found. I wasn't the only trader either - it was a group of traders, we all had our roles in the business, we all applied our take to the strategy with weekly meetings, daily meetups between the traders. A real business.
So where are we now? Big shocker ready for it? Investors from the same group made Rocket Scooter in 2022, Rocket Place 2024, 2026 we're adding our tools to Ninja Trader and Go Charting. Still here to this day working together, building things, and making this space amazing for all of you. 6 years later, multiple projects later, not a single negative claim or whistle blown from within -- you'd think someone would say something if there was something crazy to say!
But seriously, nobody's business what I do or what my investors do. Also tell your mom to pay up, money's due.
8) Matt is broke.
