Yesterday, I joyfully hosted Mr. Emmanuel Asamoah, Ghana’s victim of xenophobia we relocated from South Africa.
We had a great time together at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
I am pleased to disclose that business mogul, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama has reached out to me and offered to fully sponsor any business startup of Mr. Asamoah’s choice here in Ghana.

Calls for the reform of the UN have gone on for so long. Those calls ever so often include the demand for permanent African representation on the security council.
In West Africa, I have always assumed that that will mean a unified backing of Nigeria to the Security Council.
But seeing Nigeria allow US bombings in their country; I feel like Nigeria’s “bid” to the security council is undermined by that very act. How can a permanent member of the security council also be allowing another member conduct aerial strikes on their territory?
Also we are a long way from when Nigeria acted as a big brother in getting the ECOMOG Coalition going; to enter Liberia. Today, it seems Ghana has more competent diplomatic engagements with AES through Larry Gbevlo-Lartey; and that the Nigerians have ceded much ground in the Francophone bloc.
But even more so now, with how @S_OkudzetoAblak is moving, I feel like he makes me want to double dare him to see what he can’t achieve?
I think @JDMahama’s new task for the North Tongu Lee Kuan Yew, is to get positive momentum for Ghana to demand a permanent seat on the Security Council.
That has to be our new Foreign Policy target!
Yes we can! 🎯

South Africans have been attacking Nigerians for years. No proper actions from Nigerian officials.
South Africans confront one Ghanaian. We summoned their ambassador and we have escalated the issue to be put on AU’s agenda!
This is Ghana we deserve. 24/7!
Can we make Ablakwa Prime Minister? The Foreign Ministry is becoming too small for him la.

So far, eight cases of #hantavirus have been reported, including three deaths.
While this is a serious incident, @WHO assesses the public health risk as low.
WHO will continue to work with all relevant governments and partners to provide care for those who are affected, protect the safety and dignity of passengers, and prevent onward spread of the virus.
