So Microsoft and other companies have revoked or are planning to revoke Claude licenses for their software engineers.
It appears that the cost of running AI models supercedes just having human developers, which in turn defeats the argument of cost (savings) with respect to operational efficiency.
This is the frenzy we talked about where executives listen to AI marketers and consultants who only need their pound of cash-flesh, and make rapid decisions that are not well thought out.
Any deliberation on what the fallout of this will be, will remain speculative. Only time will tell.

To hire, you need to have a baseline set of competence for a given role in order to recognize fit. HR folks hire for roles they have no competence in. So how do they hire?

I've never seen a single case of HR fighting injustice.
All they do is "yes Sir," "okay Sir"
Someone said it's a profession. I laugh. So if they ask you what your profession is, you'll say HR 😭🤣

But to say there was NO cut doesn't look exactly right.

@jayhemz Microsoft switched from Claude code to GitHub Copilot (both with Opus 4.7 paid for by enterprise API usage) which enables dogfooding of the GHCP harness so they get both scale and feedback. The payment to Anthropic doesn't change with the switch. It isn't a "cut."

Went to start daytrading stocks because I was following some subreddits on Reddit where a few accounts sounded cocksure of what they were talking about in terms of stock movement.

Got rejected by Moniepoint and Kuda. Stings a bit, not gonna lie. But I have shipped 4 real products with accumulative to over 5000 users. So I’m building louder. The right door will open.

@jayhemz @Halosznn_ HR is rarely a stand alone role, they are usually in Administration role or finance, my HR for a example is operations officer/Hr
HR alone as a role might be useless, but rarely do you see HR without another designated post.

This is for someone on here: don't go through life with fear.
Believe that EVERYTHING you set out to achieve is already yours, and if it's not in your hands yet, it's being kept for you. Life is too finite to live with anxiety and self-limiting beliefs.
