I was traveling to the East from Lagos one time doing 120 km/hr, but extra mindful not to over exceed.
In the blink of an eye, one GLE passed me just before Benin bypass with a speed that made me feel I was going at 30 km/hr. Not exaggerating, I just heard a hum like a bee flew past me and next thing, this guy was in front of me by like 20 metres almost instantly.
If I estimate correctly, he would have been going at about 200 km/hr. Imagine hitting a rock on the road, or trying to evade a lorry that suddenly veers into the road? People get mind. Stupid mind, but mind nonetheless.

💔😭 Tbh, I think age brackets will be needed for IS250 and ES350 drivers. At this rate, most of the young boys driving these cars didn’t learn how to drive properly.

There's a statement @seunosewa made on Nairaland a few years back that he probably has forgotten but partly keeps me grounded.
He was trying to settle a dispute on the Nairaland platform involving some mods (like, Admins). The issue escalated where, if I remember correctly, an ex mod was bragging about the number of followers he had on Nairaland.
Seun replied with, "your number of followers is just a counter...that's nothing special." Non-techies may probably not get the depth of that response. Your follower count is a variable that changes incrementally and has no significance on who you are as a person.
Since then, I see material acquisitions as counters. Just (x+1) till infinity. It shouldn't hold any bearing on my person whether I have 2 billion in my account or 2,500. Whether I have 100k followers or 300. All counters. Not active on Nairaland anymore but just randomly remembered that statement.

A Founder reached out regarding the Java Agent Development Environment (JADE) based thesis I worked on 13 years ago.
It was a bit refreshing to hear "you called the shape of this before the tools existed."
Anyway, perhaps this is a use case of Agentic searches. Remembering past details that would have been otherwise forgotten through manual/human search.

You see those rains that do like they're not falling but will maintain the same drizzle momentum for days? Fear them more than heavy rains. Lagos sef doesn't have that kinda rain, if not it would have sunk years ago. You need to experience this kinda rain in the South East or South of the South to understand.

This is the paradox of @Apple being "poor" at AI:

It's clear why Apple can't "catch up". Not necessarily because they can't, but because catching up means sacrificing their ethos of privacy.

@peculiarerhis damn, that can be tricky on a platform like X. Reddit is community-based, X is individual based. Youtube reverted shortly after implementing a variant of that. It doesn't incentivise engagement. But can be useful in a communal context.

We're rolling out a small tweak to boost visibility of your posts to your mutuals (people who you follow back). We noticed this data was missing from the algo and it made your friends appear less in your replies. This resulted in the reply section feeling more like a battleground with people you don't recognize. This should also help clusters form around interests more easily, which many people have asked for.

@jayhemz I thought I had seen the worst pattern of rain in PH and Akwa-Ibom until I went to school in Anambra. Rain fell with this momentum for 9 days straight. Everybody almost ran mad😂

I was in Yenagoa the whole of last year and i can say it was a rainy reason there for 8 months out of the 12.
