We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and colleague Prof. Matteo Montorfano. He was a long-standing member of the EAPCI community, who generously shared his expertise and energy. The cardiovascular community has lost an innovative, extremely capable interventional cardiologist who educated many trainees and fellows. Our thoughts and sympathy go out to his family and colleagues in this terrible moment.
