Today Beavers from around the district came together to complete there photographer and experiment badge with help from @MadScienceWales

This weekend three of our troops went to @the_awsc meeting up with over 1100 others Scouts from across wales and taking part in lots of activities THANKS to the organiser from @ScoutsCymru and to our local volunteers from @1stWenvoe @1stSullyScouts @15thPenarth @CardiffValeArea

Due to Iris' health in the past few years her front line support of Scouting had reduced. In 2016 Iris was awarded the Silver Wolf, the highest Award in Scouting. We thank Iris for the many years service and the 1000s of young people that she support. May she Rest in Peace.

We were sad to learn of the recent news of Iris Owen's passing last Saturday (6/3/21). Iris for over 45 years had worked solely with the Cub Scout Section across a number of Groups within Penarth and District as well as being the District Cub Scout Commissioner for over 15 years.
