For those in the @SEWCLeague Community who aren’t aware, Pencoed CC has reformed after several years away. The 2021 Season was our chance to lay the foundations for the club’s new lease of life, and it’s great to be back. We look forward to playing new and old faces again 🏏

It’s that time of year again where the players are restless and are starting to get excited about a new season. With Winter Nets from March to a Friendly on April 18th, the team will be looking to knock the rust off and hit the ground running in readiness for the 2026 Season🏏

With Rain claiming the final game for most, our quest for a 3rd consecutive promotion fell short in the end👎🏻 Congratulations to @BlackwoodCC for securing their promotion place, a great side on & off the field👏🏻 Lots of positives to take away & areas to work on ready for 2026🏏

🚨MATCH RESULT!🚨 Pencoed Win by 49 Runs ✅ T.Moore’s 45 gave us a good start. J.Frewen batted through with 59* with McCutcheon’s Scott (32) & Simon (23) taking us to 223-9👏🏻 J.Smith’s 3-38 & 2 each for G.Williams & R.Morgan wrapped up another great team effort in the field👌

Our last home game of the season tomorrow as we take on @BridgendTownCC 3rd’s. Big 2 games left with wins needed in both to stand any hope of a top 2 finish. Good luck lads 👍🏻

Pencoed Lose by 28 Runs ❌ Took early wickets to give us a great chance with 2 wickets each for J.Smith, R.Morgan & J.Frewen but couldn’t quite cash in. Losing early wickets made it harder despite hopeful knocks from the Skipper, the McCutcheons & M.Cook. 28 runs short 👎🏻

This week we play Friends Union 1st’s, a massive game for us with an opportunity to go top. The previous meeting between the sides went down to the very last ball and we’ve had a great few weeks so the boys are full of confidence and very excited for this one 🏏

🚨MATCH RESULT!🚨 Pencoed Win by 4 Wickets ✅ G.Williams struck early in a 3 wicket spell along with R.Morgan while J.Smith & L.McCormick took 2 each to halt @CardiffCC 4th’s to 122👏🏻 Cardiff fought hard but R.Owen & Skipper J.Frewen took control to send us towards victory👌

Tomorrow we return home to host @CardiffCC 4th’s. Both sides will be eager to make a further towards a possible Top 2 finish for the end of the season, which should make for a great game 🏏

This Saturday we enter the last month of the season as we head up to Pontymister & Crosskeys 🏏

🚨MATCH RESULT!🚨 Pencoed Lost by 51 Runs ❌ Once we broke through wickets came quickly with Skipper J.Frewen taking 3-37 but despite more missed chances @BlackwoodCC recovered well to post 232-7 N.Jordan and J.Frewen hit 67 & 43 but it wasn’t enough as we fell 51 runs short👎🏻

Today we welcome @penarthcricket 4th’s to Felindre Road. We enjoyed a great game in the heat earlier on in the season and today looks to be a scorcher with hopefully another great game between us 🏏☀️🍺
