Before and after Bob McNair was awarded his expansion franchise, he told me on multiple occasions how he wanted his team to be called the Texans. He wanted the Texans to forge their own identity, build their own legacy and create their own history. He wasn't interested in the Oilers' name or colors because those belonged to Bud Adams and his family.

@jpolly22 NSH and CBJ have the most Reebok Edge-ass brands/jerseys in the league. They both scream “early ‘00s” and they both need to simplify everything. A sports logo should be something a child could reasonably attempt to draw. Preds should adopt this WC logo full time:

@pendingload I did this graphic a couple years ago, so it isn't up to date. But generally, you can see how repetitive facemask colors are for the most part. And how much the few with pops of color stand out.

White facemask is a miss. They look too much like the Dolphins. Red or baby blue mask and this would have been considerably better.

I agree all white helmets are awesome. Cleanest look in football in my opinion. And also very overdone. When there is another team not only in your league, but your conference and geographical region who use very similar colors (white, teal and orange vs. white, baby blue and red), I think you need to take efforts to differentiate your look. These are much too similar, even down to stripe widths and circular logo.
