Ben Shapiro—after telling his audience for months that bombing Iran wouldn't lead to a wider war, and then claiming the war was just going to be a quick bombing campaign—is now telling Americans to prepare for a long war.
"There is no way to extricate ourselves from this situation right now."
Americans only got "tired" of Vietnam after 50,000 troops died, he says.
"Our" military members are "heroes" because they're willing to "sacrifice" their lives "for a greater good"—a future world where "energy will become cheap again because the Strait of Hormuz will be free again."

@penniewitz @JayDyer @EMichaelJones1 Yet, this is not in the realm of theologians, this is mere apologetics. @JayDyer and @EMichaelJones1 are not theologians.

I shared this tweet with my husband, who isn't on X, and my husband says Jones has said "many many times" that he "will no debate theology," and that Jones frequently states "he is a historian, not a theologian." I don't know the full history of Jones's videos online, I'm sure someone else can dispel that if necessary, but at a minimum a video between Dyer and Jones on the topic of geopolitical analysis and the greater Jewish question and Zionism would be really, really rad.

@DixPeyton I LOOOOVVVEEE that the other woman, Mary, had enough decorum to calmly hang 4 hangers back before getting out of the shot to lay down on the couch.... LOL

@Rach4Patriarchy This is an unfortunate rite of passage for countless "college going" Americans. Hell, I didn't even go the college route and I still had a similar rite of passage.
English

This is absolutely atrocious. But let’s not pretend like it’s actually that new. Don’t you guys remember all of the movies about spring break and teen party movies from the 90s and early 2000s? MTV Spring Break?

Our culture is decaying right before our very eyes. Getting drunk - Normalized. Hooking up with strangers- Normalized. Doing hard drugs - Normalized. Immodesty - Normalized. Christ have mercy on us, sinners.

This also isn't what he said, sir. In the clip going viral, Tucker is quoted as having said he is loyal to the American people, and from there the nitpicking begins. The topic differentiating loyalty to "US Interests" and the "American people" is broached, as well as the over-analytical gaslighting of, "Surely he must be loyal to his family? His network? His team?" It was more unnecessary psychotic "insight" into a sentence of his, which spawned more endless, "He's an antisemite!" content. Just another Wednesday online.
English

That is NOT what he said, you Jew-despising moronically delusional fibster.
Tucker's loyalty isn't to the US, but rather to ALL adversaries of the US.
In Tucker's view Israel is the most e'vil nation on planet earth, that is why you love Tucker so much, because your hatred for Israel knows no bounds, just like Tucker.
English

Dennis Prager said it was very distressing to hear @TuckerCarlson say his only loyalty was to America. Why in the world would that be distressing? Are we all required to have loyalty pledges to foreign countries? Nicaragua? Tajikistan? Let me guess, you demand loyalty to Israel.

Oy, more antisemitism. No wonder the bishops are upset.

Hands down, @JayDyer, who I've debated twice:
both times Jay reached across the gap the moment the debate ended and apologized for any heat-of-the-moment overaggressions, then bought my entire large family a meal (both times we hung out and had fun for multi-hours);
at those meals, Jay and his wife @JamieLHanshaw (who watched movies in the green room with a Gordon child during one of the debates) were each exceedingly kind to my kids and wife;
also, Jay regularly expresses a generosity of time (first time we ever met, Jay and Jamie drove hours to meet me out at @ElliottHulse's house);
also, generosity of resources via unsolicited sharing of his connections, rather than just asking for my connections.
I have every confidence that @Trent_Horn is a good-hearted family man who loves Jesus, but tbh he needs to learn the sort of magnanimity which makes friends out of foes: at our debates, he never expressed any species of any of Jay's generosities. In fact, I brought him a signed copy of my book (the exchange of which is standard) and he left it there at the studio lmao! I've invited Trent and his wife to meals and onto my show, for couples discussion with my wife, and he responded that his wife didn't trust strangers or something (this was only shortly before she made skits mocking said "strangers": myself, my brother, my wife). To be fair, last time in Dallas, we had plans to get a friendly coffee, but his family got the flu. I'm 100% down to make this happen eventually, hopefully with Steph and Laura present. Burying the hatchet is what Christian men do. But I'm never sure that's what he wants: communion with "mean" men with myself or Jay, which presents a striking irony.
Perhaps Trent ought to begin looking at Jay as an exemplar of generosity, instead of pettily exaggerating a single flaw as if it means more than it does
Mitchell@ScottsOriole
@timotheeology Do you think Trent’s disposition or spirit is more Christlike than Dyer or yourself or the other way around?
