Penrith & Eden Museum has recently acquired two lovely watercolours by Edward G Hobley of Penrith (1866-1916): 'Harvest Time' and 'Cows with Boy'. Both were donated in memory of the late Margaret Staniland Parry.

HEMIMORPHITE Roughton Gill, Caldbeck Fells A mineral that the Caldbeck Fells is famous for occurring in large quantities. A zinc silicate known for its striking primarily blue to green-blue colour. The name was first used in 1853 and derives from 'hemimorphic' G1991.247
