Met this family business. Doing well but never ran a single ad, but had products people actually wanted helped them pick the right product by looking at what was already selling best made one direct response ad, generated by AI using original product photos. nothing fancy set up a basic sales campaign, CBO, open targeting. brand new pixel, zero data launched at $150/day in Canada. hit 5x ROAS right away expanded to US, added more creatives, bumped the budget every few days now they're spending $1000/day at 4x ROAS. sometimes simple just wins

Great lesson here. • "Major bottoms showed extreme fear" (okay, sure) • "Extreme fear signals a major bottom" (completely unproven by this data) Those are two completely different claims. The first is almost trivially true. But the second is the only one that would be actionable, and it's the one not being addressed. • "Every time it rained, the ground was wet" (trivially true) • "Every time the ground was wet, it had rained" (not necessarily true, sprinklers exist) You can't learn anything about predictive power this way because you've excluded all the cases where the same predictor appeared but the preferred outcome didn't happen.

This is a phenomenal overview of the recent periods of 'Extreme Fear' in the markets. What did happen eventually? Well, just check the numbers beneath any number. Price goes up astronomically after every crash. This time won't be different for #Bitcoin.

AppLovin removed the $10M revenue requirement from Axon in October 2025. That single change transforms them from an enterprise tool into a potential Meta competitor. Here's why 2026 decides everything:

Google should get it over with and acquihire Anthropic. The one dynamic causing issues around this is Amazon’s significant ownership. With the existing very deep strategic partnership and recent 1 million TPU deal, the lines of their orgs will start to blur.

ChatGPT ads are about to become one of the most powerful advertising channels on the planet. OpenAI is sitting on the richest intent data in history Google knows what you search. Meta knows what you like. ChatGPT knows what you think. Every prompt reveals intent, context, problems, desires, and buying signals in a way no other platform has ever captured. This is not search intent. This is conversational intent. It is deeper, more specific, and far more actionable. The ad targeting potential is unprecedented Imagine targeting someone who just asked: “What’s the best CRM for a 10 person sales team?” “How do I fix my landing page conversion rate?” “What should I look for in a running shoe for flat feet?” This is not demographic targeting. This is real time problem targeting. The specificity is unmatched. The trust layer changes everything. When someone asks ChatGPT a question, they are in discovery mode. They trust the response. An ad placed in that context carries a different weight than an ad interrupting a social feed or sitting above search results. If OpenAI executes this correctly, ChatGPT ads will feel like recommendations, not interruptions. The advertiser opportunity window is wide open. Right now, OpenAI says paid tiers will not have ads. That means the free tier becomes the scale play. The real question is execution Will ads influence responses? OpenAI says no. Will conversations stay private? OpenAI says yes. Will the targeting be as powerful as the data suggests? Unknown. But if they get this right, ChatGPT ads will not compete with Meta or Google. They will create an entirely new category. The platform that knows what you are thinking, not just what you are doing, is the platform that could be big in the next decade of advertising. ChatGPT just signaled it wants to be that platform.
OpenAI@OpenAI

In the coming weeks, we plan to start testing ads in ChatGPT free and Go tiers. We’re sharing our principles early on how we’ll approach ads–guided by putting user trust and transparency first as we work to make AI accessible to everyone. What matters most: - Responses in ChatGPT will not be influenced by ads. - Ads are always separate and clearly labeled. - Your conversations are private from advertisers. - Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise tiers will not have ads.

I don't think AppLovin will take away any meaningful market share from Meta. Meta is too powerful, and the algorithm is too good. Ideally, AppLovin helps our industry expand and becomes a crucial pillar in our marketing ecosystem.

Here's the pattern that defines every successful ad platform: Enterprise revenue funds the technology. SMB revenue proves the platform. AppLovin has the first part. 2026 is when we find out if they can do the second. That's the $100B question.
