someone took a photo of confusing parking signs and asked chatgpt "am i allowed to park here right now?" it analyzed every sign and gave a clear yes/no answer in seconds 3 years ago. still one of the funniest use cases i've seen

Anyone want to have Claude coworking sessions in NYC sometime this week/weekend? Go to a cafe, just build our own skills, projects, wtv and riff on what we're building. I'm already doing this myself. Would be fun to do with others!

Once not long ago, a founder had an initial meeting with a VC. It did not in all honesty go that well. But the partner said he would circle back with his firm. The founder followed up via email, heard nothing for a few days. Not to be deterred, the founder followed up again. Still nothing. Then one day the founder was surprised to see the VC replied to one of their tweets. Interesting. The founder DM'ed the VC. Would love to hear how it went with the partners, still have space in the round. The VC replied within minutes. Apologized. Very excited about all the progress. Will be in touch soon with details. Wonderful! A few days pass, again nothing. The founder is getting concerned. DMs the VC again. Again, a friendly, instant reply. Again, a whole-hearted apology. Very strange. The founder offers to come to the VCs office again next week, would love the chance to present to the partnership. The VC replies to the DM and says that's great, sets a time. The founder makes the drive from SF down to Sand Hill Road. Has a nervous breakfast. Enters the lobby. The friendly receptionist asks who the founder is here to see. Strange, I don't see you on the list, but I'll ping him. The founders heart is pounding. What is happening. The VC comes out to the lobby. Weirdly grins. "The thing is, my OpenClaw runs my..." After that the founder heard nothing

@joshgonsalves_ Ah yeah memory probably part of it. If only you could put your entire life into a codebase and let CC run with it

@per_simmons_ Totally, for a single project, I gravitate to Claude Code. For broader life / multiple projects, it's just not it. The memory system is newer than Chat too, which is why I think it seems to be hyper-fixating on certain things.

I'm just going to say the uncomfortable truth here. ChatGPT is a more helpful AI assistant than Claude. Not necessarily more powerful or a better personality or anything. It's literally just more helpful. Claude has become presumptuous, patronizing, flat-out annoying AND tends to shut down / end conversations prematurely. What kind of helpful AI assistant would do that? Whereas ChatGPT is way more helpful, helps me connect the dots and get to the next step in my thinking, rather than just ending the conversation and telling me to touch grass and go play with my kid. For the past few weeks, I've been sending the same prompts to both Chat and Claude, and I find myself continuing the conversation with Chat and abandoning Claude mid-conversation. If I have a sticky problem or I need to bounce ideas off of, generally, I'm going to do that with Chat nowadays. Tried to do it with Claude, but it's just not helpful. Claude Code is still good. But Claude is feeling more and more like a tool than a companion lately. Open to hearing your experience lately.

a group of friends bought a foreclosed alley in sf and are sourcing paintings for their mural. I made a submission for opencomputer.dev I’m in love with my painting, maybe I should take art more seriously? paintastreet.com

I cannot believe I've been Google image searching "company logo transparent" this whole time like some kind of chump. @logodotdev logo api solves all of this. About to save me (and Claude) HOURS

Anyone that thinks there's some magic-easy-AI-money to be made is either naive or hasn't been alive long enough to build a real product. There's still an unbelievable amount of hard work, confusion and pain that goes into building a real company with real customers.

@ParthJadhav8 Super clever storing the cache inside the image file itself. Immediately thinking about this for comparing against reference UI screenshots when I'm building. Wonder if I can wire it into Playwright MCP...

AI agents keep re-reading the same image like they’ve never seen it before. That’s expensive. I built image-read-cache skill to fix it: - cache image understanding inside the image file - auto-invalidate when the file changes - avoids re-reading image github.com/ParthJadhav/im…

@NipseyHoussle @ryancarson QA is huge, such a bottleneck. If Devin can do this better than CC with the Claude Chrome extension I'm sold

@ryancarson I’m looking to solve: 1. QA a feature with a browser , after a human dev finishes coding 2. Cron job to look for low hanging fruit tickets and make a PR 3. code review Can Devin do all three? I’ve been messing with Claude agent sdk, agentcore, Hermes, openclaw etc

Devs love to dev so everyone and their mom is building their own version of Ramp’s Inspect. It’s a *ridiculous* amount of work though. You have to build a huge amount of features to just have a simple functional agent orchestration pipeline (that’s actually good with browser testing, cloud sandboxes that actual work, surface area across Linear and Slack, PR review, Security Review, etc, etc, etc) I know because I built several versions of this. Got sick of it and just decided to pay for Devin. Never been happier or freer to just ship a ton of features and bug fixes. You’re absolutely wasting your time if you’re not buying your agent orchestration off the shelf now. Just pick a platform and double down - stop switching - all the frontier models are equally capable now. Focus, double down and build. Don’t build the tool - use the tool. Stop playing with this stuff and just get back to work.

I was tired of designing YT thumbnails from scratch so I built my own thumbnail generator. It uses an infinite canvas like Weavy where you generate, drag, and remix thumbnails. Also connected to a YouTube playlist so every time I save a video to that swipe file playlist (on YouTube) the thumbnail shows up in the app automatically. I also loaded in a library of different facial reactions for myself. So I can click any swipe file thumbnail, click my face, then remix it. Built the whole thing with Claude Code. Open source repo is here: github.com/per-simmons/th…
