High-level (slower compute) + low-level (faster compute) is the way to go. It's the combination of the two that will push past current limits.

Crimson Desert is sitting at 78 on Metacritics right now. - Vice gave it 100, Forbes gave it 95 - TheGamer gave it a 70, and IGN gave it a 60 (so far) I watched a handful of youtubers review it, and so far this is what is shaking out of the review tree: - Amazing open world - Sense of wonder/awe - Frustrating controls and bugs (for some) So far, it is sounding like an amazing experience, stuffed with things to do, but whose junkiness can detract from it.

@MalditoMP @HUN2R I'm not a big Blizzard guy. The last Blizzard game I played was WC3 TFT, so I'm not up to date with Blizzard exec controversies, just the usual game flop news or sexual harassment cases.
But man, the more I look into him, the less I like his takes.

@TheMetzMan @HUN2R You are right, there are plenty of woke games that were successful, like Baldur's Gate 3 or Celeste.
Still, my point stands, since the woke wave in videogames, many have used woke elements performatively at the expense of gameplay/performance/game design/storytelling, and fun.

@pereshark @HUN2R DEI and whatever you have determined as "woke" is NOT the reason games fail. That's been disproven already. It's always the game itself. Either it doesn't differentiate itself from the competition, tries to do too much or doesn't do anything interesting to keep players playing.
