A total of 435 South African schools did not offer maths at the Grade 12 level as of 2024. Education experts said the shortage of qualified maths teachers, especially in rural and remote areas, was one of the main reasons for schools not offering maths in Grade 12. MIND BLOWING !!1

I have a cousin who applies to everything, just like everything. The other day, he asked me what Auditing is all about. We discussed it, and I thought we were just brainstorming, only to learn that he applied for an Auditing Manager position. 🙌👐

Strive Masiyiwa is CELEBRATED all over the world and makes headlines INVESTING in many countries… But, so far, NO OTHER COUNTRY has given him profits more than Zimbabwe… Econet Wireless Zimbabwe remains the Cash cow BY FAR… Ironically, he loves throwing shade on Zimbabwe about “unfavourable investment environment” …. Why is the “unfavourable investment” giving him the BIGGEST PROFITS??? He needs to rethink his position

The Avondale community in Harare has been left facing a massive shopping disruption as Bon Marché sinks deeper into financial crisis, together with its parent company, OK Zimbabwe. Bon Marché, a big retail in the area, is now virtually empty, just like many OK shops across the country reeling from protracted economic hardships despite official growth prospects. Ok is an iconic retail brand in the country. This followed the closure of South African franchise Food Lover's Market (which is under OK) in June last year, leaving residents with only Pick n Pay in the area. The sweeping shop closures is part of downsizing by OK to stabilise finances, address supplier debts, manage liquidity issues, currency volatility, power supply disruptions, high operating costs, and contain huge damage caused by informalisation of the economy to the retail sector. Broader economic difficulties in Zimbabwe, characterised by comoany closures, rampant unemployment, reduced spending power, poverty and competition from the informal sector, fueled these formal retail failures.  As a result, residents have lost convenient access to staple commodities, fresh produce, gourmet groceries, and other items previously offered at these stores. The closures affected not just shoppers, but also local farmers, suppliers, and hundreds of employees who lost their jobs, highlighting interconnected economic challenges facing Zimbabweans.  The closure of Food Lover's and Bon Marché's decline significantly reduced formal shopping options in Avondale, pushing consumers towards the informal market sector or other, distant supermarkets.

@baba_nyenyedzi Typical Zimbo 🤣🤣🤣we don’t believe our economy is 52billion but we believe 45% poverty. Who’s the source for these two numbers….World Bank. So which of the two metrics is credible?

Can the Zimbabwean economy be worth US$52bn when the latest World Bank report records that 45% of our society is living under extreme poverty. As we plan for 2026 it’s important to be embedded in reality than in government numbers that serve a political outcome and not necessarily economic. What do you think?

It was May this year, I was at my favorite club any time I am in the UK... At my normal spot at the back wall sipping my drink and moving to the beat. This fine lady turned up.. said her friend likes me. Then her friend came, she's Zimbabwean good looking can't even lie. 5:4 with Southy kinda Bunda! Said she likes men that work out (gym bro rizz) Asked me what I drink, went to the bar and refilled my drink. We had small chat. We danced. Me that I am mostly chilled at the club had a great time. She dropped me at home and has requested for dinner twice I declined. Imagine if na Naija babe... Buy you drink? Chat you up? Drop you at home? Or even approached you herself? Na that day heaven go fall.

Why did Zim banks make less income from Foreign Exchange Trading in 2025 vs in 2024? I am not referring to revaluations of FX assets, but actual FX trading, i.e. facilitating currency conversions. Any idea?

@KayaNews It’s in Randburg actually, a bit far from Bryanston. I’ve been to that place. All of the tenants there are Zimbabweans that are working in the restaurants at the surrounding places, Hydepark, Bryanston, Randburg, Cresta, Sandton, etc

PICTURES: Johannesburg officials raided the allegedly hijacked building in Bryanston. According to the co-owner of the residential property, his now estranged wife went on holiday back in 2020 and was denied entry. But the man who claims he has signed an offer to purchase the house says he has been occopying the property since 2020 through an agreement with the female owner of the house. He leases tenants in the wendy houses for R2000 per month. KH #KayaNews
