Nothing happened to SoB Lt Gen Kishan Pal and his pet Major general Budhwar who absolutely fubared the logistical planning leading up-to Kargil war. Men deployed on frontlines were without artillery support but they were still forced to attack enemy positions over ruling on ground officers' inputs resulting in huge loss of lives of young men. Only after Gen Malik's intervention, the hastily planned initiatives were stopped. Nothing happened to that SoB Lt Gen Pal and Budhwar. They single handedly fucked up commendation / citations of scores of officers. Indian army utni bhi doodh ki dhuli nahin hai kachra wahan bhar bhar ke hai uppar tak !

I speak with irrefutable & overwhelming stats when I say there is mountain of a difference between what is preached and thar practiced. Out of approx 400 officers who fought Kargil war at the front with their troops, a miniscule of 10 odd got promoted to Maj Gen. The army preferred networking and peace time over battle experience with troops. The biggest example is Col Navdeep Cheema of 27 RAJPUT who captured Point 5770 the highest peak captured in Kargil war, killing one Pak offr & 10 Jawans. He is staff college and would retire as Col it seems..There are numerous others like him never attaining Maj Gen or above ranks.. Present day Generals are more political in their own profession than politicians it seems..

This video is from Munsyari. The hot springs of Madkot are getting littered by locals, not tourists. No doubt many tourists are responsible for making Uttarakhand a dump yard, but we should also call out those locals who are littering in the hills.
