@rajiinio @rajiinio makes a very important point here — not only with respect to rule making under existing laws but also with respect to any new AI statutes, which will be difficult to draft so as to account for the many uncertainties concerning the future of AI.

U.S. based AI policy folks should be paying attention to this Supreme Court Chevron decision - most of the progress we have to date on any kind of AI oversight has been through the rulemaking authority of the agencies. I struggle to imagine a meaningful path forward without that.
