What's wrong with having pride in America, and also having pride in allowing people to celebrate their specific interests or lifestyles? Some people wave pride flags. Some people wave MAGA falgs. Some people wave "Don't Tread on Me Flags." Having pride in the American flag means having pride in the freedom people have in waving other flags too. Right?

California will officially ban Skittles and other candies from the state starting 2027 as Governor Gavin Newsom signed bill AB 418, also known as The California Food Safety Act. The bill targets food products that contain the substances brominated vegetable oil, potassium bromate, propylparaben or red dye 3. Red dye 3 is found in Skittles and other confectionaries like PEZ, Hot Tamales and Dubble Bubble gum, while brominated vegetable oil is normally concocted in citrus soft drinks.

Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy raps to “Lose Yourself” by Eminem at the Iowa State Fair today. While old candidates keep winning elections, Republicans have a chance to nominate the conservative version of Barack Obama (at least from a youth, energy, and motivational standpoint). I disagree with most of his politics, and I wouldn’t vote for him in an election, but if the GOP really wanted to ignite voters, Ramaswamy would be such a better choice than the old, indicted, possibly convicted and twice impeached Donald Trump. I hear everyone's arguments about transgender women being in the women's room, but it's really hard for me to understand what the big deal about it is. When you walk into a clothing store, and discover an outfit that you really like, you typically try it on in the store, right? There are many stores that combine both the women's and men's changing room stalls into one room/location. You walk into the changing room, then find an open stall, walk in and lock it. The person next to you might be a man, woman or child. But it doesn't matter because you are in your own private, locked stall. Is this really any different than if a transgender woman were to walk into a women's room and then use a private, locked stall while you do the same thing. Am I missing something here? The other issue I have is that many transgender women look more like females than some cis-women do. How do you know what sex someone is without harassing that person? Imagine being a cis-woman who is questioned about really being a female. Is there a way to enforce a ban? If not, then why make a law?

donald trump has been impeached twice. He lost reelection. He’s been indicted for paying hush money to a porn star. He’s been found liable for sexually abusing & viciously defaming E. Jean Carroll. He’s under investigation for attempting to overturn an election, for plotting a deadly insurrection, for obstructing an investigation into the theft of classified documents, and for espionage. He’s an incurious, evil, self-serving, narcissistic idiot who didn’t make Mexico pay for his wall, didn’t lower middle class taxes, didn’t decrease the deficit, didn’t repeal Obamacare or pass an infrastructure bill. He’s a bad man and a truly awful candidate. But he hates who MAGA hates. He emboldens & validates their intolerance. He legitimizes their bigotry. And that is all they need.

It amazes me that MrBeast can give 1,000 people their hearing back, and instead of asking why the heck the US healthcare system didn't do this 15 years ago, Americans are attacking MrBeast. Yes, MrBeast is probably getting thousands of new subscribers because of his actions, but that doesn't mean he's taking advantage of these people.
