The @birmingham_live homepage is filled, as it usually is, with road tragedy. In the space of a few hours, news of a pedestrian killed on the pavement in Sutton and a driver killed on the A45, metres away from where Azaan Khan, 12, died in June last year. This is an emergency.

Last Sunday a little girl was killed & three mothers were injured in a collision in Highgate in Birmingham. They had been walking home from seeing family friends. The whole community is devastated. I spoke to some of the grieving families and friends. #SafeStreetsNow
