Between him and David Lynch, we’ve lost two first-class eccentrics this month. The world is less interesting without them.

David Lynch’s movies are some of the greatest gifts life has ever given me. I have rarely felt the joy, wonder, terror, and ineffable sense of beauty that his movies have given me. I hope he left feeling just a fraction of that awe.
