In 2023/24, we fought off an existential battle in the courts for our school Michaela.
At the same time, we drove towards GCSE and A level exams, producing eye-watering headline figures and a Progress 8 of 2.55.
What we have achieved is more amazing than people will ever know.
What a great day, I finally got to meet @Doug_Lemov at the Olympus TLAC conference. My senior and middle leaders had a fantastic two days and are excited about putting some techniques in to actions across Sheldon School. A special thanks to @Tom_Hill1 for pulling it all together
@teacherhead We have just moved to low stakes questioning for all our homeworks and have seen a huge increase in completion rate and engagement. We used Hattie’s research as a basis for this.
Join Doug Lemov to learn about the Science of Reading in a remote webinar on Wednesday, March 27. Doug will share his take on research of cognitive scientists who study the science of reading and learning.
