I’m not a fan of the 6 man bench for a number of reasons. Too many players won’t get any game time. I feel it was a rushed rule change that favours teams that play Thurs/Fri night. Coaches also seem to be confused with how to use rotations. It also affects QLD/NSW Cup. Thoughts?

Seriously how good was the drama of the men’s semis & the final? Let’s have no more debate about the slams moving to best of 3 sets, it’s just stupid. I’m keen to see how women’s singles go with best of 5 from the 1/4 finals, interesting idea that’s worth discussing. Thoughts?

That’s a wrap on an awesome summer of tennis. From @BrisbaneTennis to @AdelaideTennis to the @AustralianOpen it was fantastic to be in the commentary box watching the great players in action. For now it’s time to focus on the Winter Olympics ahead of the NRL season!

Rybakena outstanding. Took the game away from Sabalenka. I think she deserves a heap of credit for the way she handled those moments from being 3-0 down in the 3rd set. That was a terrific performance. @wwos

Given what I’ve seen this summer I think projected 1/4 final matchups at the @AustralianOpen aren’t as straight forward as people think! There’s some quality players in terrific form. Machac, Davidovich Fokina, Paul, Medvedev I think will all go deep on the men’s side @wwos

Rest in Peace lawn bowls legend Rob Parrella. A commonwealth games gold medal one of his many achievements. He was dynamic & had plenty of flair. In the 80s he had a few battles on the green with my grandfather who was a big fan of Rob’s. RIP to one of the greats. @BowlsAustralia
