So MyBroadband is owned by Broad Media. Broad Media also owns @BusinessTechSA & @DailyInvestorSA The founder and owner of Broad Media is @rudolphmuller. The Editor-in-Chief of MyBroadband, @sigstart & Business Tech SA’s, @QBBT. What happened, gents? You used to be at the forefront of tech news. Seems you’ve shifted to sponsored content, audience targeting and content distribution for corporate clients. You are That’s fine if so but it must be made known to your readers. All journalists & media houses account for their editorial decisions, and yours needs some explanation. Your’e hardly an independent media houses now, no? You’re a marketing agency. Very concerning stuff.

Sure there's AI to generate the code for you, but you need to at least learn the basics of Python as a Network Engineer. Kirk Byers has a free one here that runs for 10 weeks: pynet.twb-tech.com/free-python-co…

@Markosonke1 @MagdelSteyn I almost believed this until you made it about Starlink. Next thing you'll be tweeting about farm murders and genocide in order to promote Orania 🙄

DID YOU KNOW❓🚨 Most places in Northern Cape have zero network 😭📵 Your iphone is just there… looking pretty… acting as a camera and alarm clock, that’s it No calls, no data, no "I’ll WhatsApp you when I arrive" - cos u might not arrive ONLINE at all 😭 In 2026 People in NC are still climbing rocks just to catch one bar of signal like it’s hide & seek This is exactly why Northern Cape needs @Starlink 🚀 We are we sitting on the biggest land in SA but still disconnected from the world? 👀

@gugurine23 @Wandi_SA Entitlement to luxuries like meat/fish/chicken should rather be directed to job opportunities or a conducive business environment.

Ballot entry for #comradesMarathon2026 Substitution is open since 10am! Those who were crying about the event being sold out within hours have a chance to get in via this lottery system. I was that soldier at exactly 10am and their server was already being flooded 🤞🏿 Do best!

Modern apps brag about “extensive APIs,” yet their official integrations expose maybe 20% of it. The rest? Missing fields, missing endpoints, missing events. So you end up writing custom code anyway. If we have to build it ourselves, stop pretending the integration exists.

The French are making drastic changes and it's lovely to watch. I hope they cut the Premium Package price since the "free" Showmax perk is falling away. Can't wait for the day we can only pay for the rugby/sports channel(s)... revolution!

The great irony is that, as deeply racialised as South Africa is, none of the public objection to Starlink has anything to do with his race and everything to do with who he has revealed himself to be. Jeff Bezos, also white, also American, also male, also seeking to enter the satellite internet business in South Africa, has attracted no public backlash. Why is that? White grievance politics do not land with South Africans, and this is across racial groups. MAGA-style victimhood narratives do not land in South Africa. Narratives aimed at racial polarisation do not land in South Africa. A se mo States mo. Someone (I have my suspicions who) told him a “Is IT beCkwaz ahM wHaTh” campaign on social media would get him an ICASA license and the special treatment he feels entitled to. Ya? Not regulatory compliance and good-faith engagement? Very little chance now, if any, that Starlink will do business in South Africa. Congratulations, you played yourself.

Starlink has committed to a R500 million investment to connect 5,000 rural schools with free, high-speed internet, benefiting more than 2.4 million learners each year. But it is still on hold. Why? Because South African regulations require 30% local Black ownership for telecom licenses. South African farmers and rural communities are asking the government to approve Starlink. In many remote areas, there is no internet access at all, and people have to drive several kilometers just to get basic connectivity. The South African government is the enemy of its own people.
