My solution is to turn off Collision Mask or Avoidance when they are in move state. This can make them overlap each other when moving. Then when in other states (Idle, Attack, etc.), turn Collision Mask back on so they can auto-correct their positions.

Even with Avoidance enabled for Navigation Agent or without it (instead use Collision Mask), some NPCs can still get stuck due to their positions to each other. So how would I tackle this problem? Stay tuned for the next video... #gamedev #indiedev #solodev #Godot #GodotEngine
