@peterxjang @Actualize I could not find the index.html and index.css file that the Javascript and jQuery start with when developing the notes app.

@actualize @peterxjang I really liked the Modern JavaScript Explained For Dinosaurs course. Is there any student/new year discount available? I'd like to purchase Frontend Applications with JavaScript and jQuery.

@quazirfan @Actualize That's exactly the goal - each course will be designed around building the same application, to directly compare/contrast how to build the same type of features using these different approaches!

@peterxjang @Actualize Thank you for the quick response! I hope the React and Vue.js would be a continuation of Javascript and jQuery course to illustrate the gain obtained by using these newer frameworks!

@quazirfan @Actualize Sure thing! Just made a new years discount for 50% off using the coupon code NEWYEARS2022, it expires at the end of February. We'll also be releasing similar courses for Vue.js and React in the coming months, so stay tuned for that!

@peterxjang Hi Peter, just wanted to say thanks for your four-week plan for learning Vim blog post. Seeing your sentence, "the best reason to learn Vim is because you enjoy spending time learning and mastering a complex skill" resonates with me like none other!

@vponamariov Autonomy is a good lens for this - a junior dev needs guidance to complete tasks, a middle dev can complete tasks on their own, a senior dev can identify which tasks should or should not be completed

What's the difference between junior, middle and senior? In any area (development, design, anything else) In your opinion

@rsms mkultra.click/pancake-2/ was released relatively recently, basically a naked PCB with low profile switches so it can't get much thinner. Requires soldering though, I don't know of any pre-built keyboards that meet your requirements...

Keyboard friends, have you seen a columnar or ortholinear keyboard that’s thin and light like the Apple keyboards? A layout like this [picture 1 of my Preonic] with a construction like this [picture 2 of Apple keyboard]

@vponamariov @JasonSwett I think by this definition, a senior dev is someone who can decide what are the right tasks to work on in the first place

I don't like the junior/middle/senior separation - Is there any written law of what Middle should know? - If I code for 5 years in VueJS, am I a senior frontend developer? - If so, will a company that uses react hire me? This is just useless division.

we think about debugging as a technical skill (and it absolutely is!!) but a huge amount of it is managing your feelings so you don't get discouraged and being self-aware so you can recognize your incorrect assumptions

Throwback music player by @panic with user-designed skins, a nostalgic reminder that computers used to be a lot more whimsical and fun, at least from a customization standpoint!

Also, in a time where every website uses the same blandly minimal aesthetic, @css's website design is refreshingly whimsical. It's difficult to do well, but here's to hoping we see more design diversity like this in 2021!
