I'm a Hindu & probably shouldn't be commenting on this. But my hunch is Iran's brilliant fight-back will lead to 3 crucial developments: 1) Reformation in Islam (similar to Christianity in 16-17th centuries) & leap into modernity 2) End of hostility between Shi'as & Sunnis 1/2

Just a month into Chennai and I think is one of the best cities to live in, especially if you have a close group of friends. *You can relax and spend quality time by the beach *Enjoy a decent and growing nightlife *More affordable compared to other metro cities *Plenty of nearby places to explore and travel *Numerous temples to seek peace and divine blessings ❤️🧿

@petpeg007 @latha_venkatesh Suaarchaap, here the context is start fixing rupee fall at the earliest. Moreover, economy didn't became bad in 18 months as FII became huge seller just 18 months before.

@latha_venkatesh Without hitting the root cause, which is high Capital gain,STT,this FII won't stop selling & hence rupee won't appreciate. With all these measures, govt just wants 2 make sure that people think that they are doing something but it will hardly impact.May be few basis points atmost

@entropied2223 There was even a rumor during the 1987 WC semi that Gavaskar didn’t mind getting out early to avoid a potential final in Kolkata. Just one of those stories that stuck around.

Once Kapil Dev was kept out of a test in Eden Gardens by captain Sunil Gavaskar & selectors cos KD played a rash shot in previous test. There was a big protest. Spectators chanted "No Kapil No match" "Gavaskar go Back" & threw fruits & vegetables at him. SG got so hurt & shocked he vowed to never play at EG again.
Sandipan Banerjee@im_sandipan

After Brian Lara, in all likelihood Steve Smith too will end his career without playing a Test match at Eden Gardens. Such a pity!!! But who cares about these non-essential cricketing issues…

There was a time when Indian sports followers had many sports to choose from. There were many religions. And many gods. No marketing needed. Only skill. And he was one of them. The Indian hockey team was going through a rough phase in the 1980s. A nation that was once unbeatable was struggling to match others. But there was a broad consensus that he was perhaps the best centre forward in the world. The opposition put 2 defenders to mark him every time. And almost always, he got away. He would twist, turn and spin and swerve away, ball glued to his hockey stick. A dervish or a devil, depending on which team you were supporting. Unmatched, unparalleled. Glided on the turf like a thread of fine silk. Flicked the ball with the menace and might of a cobra. Threaded passes with surgical precision. A commentator (I think it was Cuckoo Walia) once called him “Hockey ka Maradona,” only for his colleague to say “Arre bhai, we should say Maradona is football ka Mohammad Shahid!” He was THAT good. I once saw him sitting on a cot outside his house, reading a newspaper. Unassuming. Quiet. He nodded at my father as he greeted him. Mohammad Shahid. Railways. India. Varanasi. #India #Hockey #MohammadShahid #Nostalgia (@Raja_Sw, @pradeepmagazine, @RVarmaMD, @g_rajaraman, @VatsMusings, @anandkumarn, @indranil9, @ushrit2020, @TheGrou75062162)

Hiitler arrested The Rothschilds in Germany in 1933, Austria in 1938, and France in 1940, and seized their assets. By taking Germany out of the Rothschild owned banking system he transformed Germany into a superpower. The Rothschild family had attempted to infiltrate America through its banking system from the day, America was formed. They were blocked by President Andrew Jackson, but ultimately were able to gain control through the passing of the federal reserve act in 1913.

Interesting how you stitched numbers together but quietly removed the context. 1. Oil bonds weren’t charity they were deferred debt. UPA hid subsidy costs and pushed the bill to future taxpayers. ₹3.23 lakh crore still has to be repaid with interest. 2. Comparing 10 years of fuel tax revenue with 5 years of borrowing is apples vs oranges. One funds the budget the other was accounting gymnastics. 3. India’s import dependence has been rising since the early 2000s as consumption grows while domestic production declines. That trend didn’t suddenly start in 2014. 4. When crude crashed excise went up when prices spiked later, excise was cut multiple times. Convenient omission. 5. Also missing from your thread: state VAT which in many states ranges 25–38% of the fuel price and is set by state governments including several Congress ruled ones. Half facts + outrage = PROPAGANDA.

“Breathe freely” 😂 Modi collected ₹38.89 lakh crore from petrol/diesel taxes, 2014–2024. Total UPA oil bond burden? ₹3.23 lakh crore. He “cleared” it using 12x the amount squeezed out of every Indian at the pump. Seva or tax heist? You decide. Now the part he won’t tweet: India’s crude oil import dependence (PPAC, Govt. of India): 🔴 2014: 77.6% 🔴 2026: 88.6% - HIGHEST IN HISTORY Modi promised at Urja Sangam 2015 to cut it to 67% by 2022. It went to 89%. Under his watch. His policy. His failure. UPA issued bonds in 2005–10 when global crude crossed $140/barrel; to protect the poor from price shocks while OMCs stayed solvent. That was the “sin.” Modi hiked excise on petrol 9 times in 15 months when global prices CRASHED; pocketing the windfall instead of passing it on to you. Excise on petrol: ₹9.48/L (2014) → ₹32.98/L (2021). +348%. UPA’s “foreign bondage”? We now import 9 out of every 10 barrels of crude oil from abroad. That is the deepest foreign energy dependency in the history of the Indian Republic. Built entirely on Modi’s watch. 🤫

PM Modi washes away the sins of Sonia-Manmohan of putting future generations under huge foreign debt and bondage… Oil bonds cleared by Modi ji and shackles imposed on our young ones by Sonia-MMS govt have been broken… Thank you @narendramodi ji, we can breath freely now without being burdened 🙏

Those who watch Ramesh Krishnan’s match in which he shocked world no.1 Mats Wilander in the 1989 Australian Open will be surprised to see Krishnan play a seemingly aimless lob in the final game. When asked about it, Ramesh smiled disarmingly as always and said “I got bored.” Epic!

How to read insider buying data (March 12 data: 48 transactions) Most investors see "Insider Buying" and assume bullish. Reality: Not all insider buying is equal. Here's the filter framework: FILTER 1: Who is buying? Strong signal → Weak signal: Promoter & Director > Promoter Group > KMP > Trust/Entity Why: Promoter has most information + most at stake FILTER 2: Mode of acquisition? Market Purchase > Off-Market Purchase Market = Paying current market price (conviction) Off-Market = Could be negotiated/block deal (less signal) FILTER 3: Is it accumulation or one-off? Single large buy = One-time conviction Multiple buys over time = Systematic accumulation FILTER 4: Post-transaction holding change? Material increase (>1-2%) = Strong signal Marginal increase (<0.5%) = Moderate signal Check both % change AND absolute amount. ₹1 Cr deployment matters even if % change is small. The signal strength formula: Strong = Promoter + Market Purchase + Material holding increase The headline "48 insider buys" doesn't tell you much. The FILTERED view tells you everything.
