#pearls & #pitfalls #neuroradiology An analogy for figuring out which type of disc herniation you see: lava lamps. When the bubble forms, it has a wide base (protrusion), then narrow base (extrusion), then no longer connected (sequestration). Narrow base in any plane counts.
