@manofpong @MartinJuza Okay now explain to me how Arena decides to punish you when you switch decks and not the opponents with favorable matchups.

@MartinJuza I mean, the are other "shady things", like only facing opponents with High Noon once you start testing Storm in Historic, or facing opponents with a bunch of mass removals when you test Elves, while NEVER facing those cards with Dimir Lurrus. It always felt like it was scripted.

@justMizuyuki Sometimes a player just gets super favorable matchups and variance. Takes more than 5 matches to see consistency (or lack thereof) with newish lists. Of course, could also be an archetype you’re not as familiar with, and not yet learning how to mull aggressively for it.

@Ashlizzlle_ There is no data available to prove this, but everytime I’ve played Arena, I get specific matchups based on what deck I’m playing. I’ll play mono red every match so i switch to a deck that beats it and never play it again. I get a LOT of mirror matches with 1/2

@AarniMantyla No fast mana, LD, or free spells. Except for the ones that are arbitrarily okay. Wizards really needs to decide what they want from Historic. I'd love Modern+Alchemy, but instead it's in such a weird unmaintained state.

@targetplayer If I need to remember something in upkeep I place a die or the relevant card face-up on top of my library temporarily. This forces me to deal with it before accidentally drawing. Sadly this still doesn't stop me from continually making the worst play decisions.
