@doaenel Also, it's a fantasy game where champions don't have to have peak human physiques. Mages or engineers don't have to be fit, they can be normal body shapes, on the plus side or underweight side. If it's a fighter or an athletic champion sure, fit and lean, if not then why?

Here’s an unpopular take; Representation isn’t always a good thing, and greatness should be celebrated. Video games modeling their characters after people with perfect physiques is how things should be. And before you misconstrue my arguments and say I’m fatphobic, hear me out; Growing up, I was overweight. I would always read books and play video games in which the protagonist was a male in his 20s, fit, and sure of himself. This gave something to look up to. It gave me an idea of what I should aspire to be like. Eventually, I got into lifting when I was 16 and can now proudly say that I’ve become, in almost all regards, the person that my younger self would’ve looked up to. A man who strives to become better, isn’t afraid to take risks, and doesn’t let what others think influence his way of being. Now, why is this relevant? Because representation is important; But only for factors that you cannot control. Things like race, height, gender, etc… should all have a plethora of options to choose from because it gives younger people a role model that they can relate to. But for things that can be controlled? There should always be an ideal. A standard. Men should know that it’s perfectly fine to be weak. That it’s fine to be indecisive. That it’s fine to be emotional. That it’s fine to be overweight. However, they should also know that life is about improving yourself in every regard. Going through struggles so that you can become the best possible version of yourself. So they should want to become men that take pride in their body. They should want to become men who are willing to take the lead. They should want to become the man that their younger self would’ve idolized. No one deserves to be bullied for how they are. No one deserves to be made fun of for any physical or mental characteristics that they might have. But you owe it to yourself to want to become the best version of you. Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. People should be accepted for how they are; But only greatness should be celebrated.

@hausofdecline is it possible that the default australian band is actually an incredibly effective re-imagining of a given historical genre with lyrics about heartbreak and alienation, i.e. jangle pop? youtu.be/jvFGdcl2WsM?si…

The default Canadian band is group of mildly alcoholic bearded guys playing the blandest riffs you've ever heard with treacly pastoral lyrics The default Australian band is an extremely alcoholic punk group playing tinny riffs with lyrics about being a weird prick at the beach

@minimme they do this a lot, i really liked 13 and they course corrected so much to avoid any semblance of linearity that the next 15 years of the brand are ridden with a desire to not be 13

@pfftgang @xTapera @RaysBaseball Yeah, that’s not how math works. It’s really not complicated. The number of votes he has is 17% more than the number of votes the second place guy has.

@RayNarvaezJr I rock a Haworth Fern. Very similar style with a high back, the Digital Knit is super comfy and the 12 year warranty is legit. Haworth, Herman, and SteelCase are all very reputable and have locations in Austin so you can try out their stuff. Highly reccomend trying before buying
