@LaxOSullivan Of all the great things about Terry, this is most important: I never heard a bad word uttered about him. In a profession in which we can find many reasons to dislike our opponents, counsel opposite always expressed respect and affection for Terry. A mentor and friend to all.

@chrispronger Very well put. I have represented some of your fellow NHLers who were preyed upon by swift talkers promising big returns. Those with limited English skills are particularly vulnerable. Every rookie camp should include education on this issue.

I played 20 years in the NHL. I was one of the highest earning NHL players of all time. And friends with many other pro athletes. My guess is more than 50% of pro athletes have financial issues in retirement.
