@JaybayCraig @choo_ek 😂 thats a therapy to manage a condition. You don’t hide a condition by using a therapy to manage it. Unless it turns out all those poor souls on chemo are doing so to ensure no one knows they have cancer.

I’m an ER doctor. I’ve seen a therapist and have been on antidepressants. Our system considers this a red flag, instead of a positive signal that I’m taking the best care of myself possible. This needs to change.

Getting mental health care can be shameful and a career killer for a physician. That needs to change. We also know that COVID has neuropsychiatric effects but do not acknowledge that in return to work criteria. That needs to change.

@choo_ek Openness about how you are coping / managing should never be a red flag. That simply incentivises the hiding of challenges to personal well-being. How does that help the individual OR reduce risk?

Waiting for switch to put me through to the neurology registrar on call. 5 mins later I get the urology reg on the phone... When I did finally get through to neurology I find if I read their letter properly I could have answered my question all along! Doh! Time for a holiday!!

After 17 weeks of overseeing COVID, the Primary Care Cell is closing down. Had our farewell team call this evening. There were tears and laughter. The overwhelming feedback was a great team experience unified by shared purpose. Such a committed group of people. Thank you!

Tomorrow I return to work after being off since Feb with my #PTSD, to say I’m petrified is an understatement, so much has changed since I was in. No COVID-19, no face masks, no PPE. The one thing I do know is that my team have my back. #newwaysofworking #keepcalm #apprehensive

Found this to be a decent read. Was reading through ‘what is digital’ section reflecting I’m guilty of thinking of digital as specific ‘things’ rather than use of digital era thinking...then stumbled across a v small pic of me. ☺️

For the record - my experience was and is that care home workers and providers stepped up to do all they could to battle #covid19

I'm not down on Meghan and Harry, who in many ways I think have done a brave thing by trying to make their own way in the world. But I can't understand why any couple with a young child would want to live in this monstrosity, especially while campaigning for a cleaner planet
