Our highest award, the Wollaston Medal, is awarded to Professor Trond Helge Torsvik, of @PHABOslo. Trond is acclaimed as being the first to quantitatively link seismic structures in the deep mantle with the surface evolution of volcanism in the form of Large Igneous Provinces.
