@drndlt_0 I've played GBF, FGO, WotW, Cookie Run Kingdom, Arknights, HSR, ZZZ & probably a few other gachas I'm forgetting. They all have restrictive mechanics that are there in order to keep the player spending time daily and doing things in a specific manner. It's not unique to Genshin.

@phallicallegory Genshin is the only gacha I know that has these weird restrictive mechanics. Why wouldn't QoL matter? I think I should be able to go farm for my waifu's talents when I want to without having to wait for 2 days

No weekly battle gamemode Can't claim dailies in menu Can't craft in menu Character mats locked by weekdays Can fight the weekly boss you need only once There's so much room for improvement but with the way hoyo treat the game I doubt it's coming

They are basically VNs with minigames and raid stages coded within them. They effectively took over the VN scene in Japan in the 2010s.

Writing quality isn't defined by how much info it lasers into your brain. Reading is an experience. Genshin is a gacha game. Gachas are derivatives of VNs, aka playable books.

If it's enjoyable to read, regardless of length, then how is it bad? Seems like you just hate spending time eyeing text, ig you feel like your time would be better off spent elsewhere.
