Today, I had the pleasure of seeing the largest Grass Snake (Natrix helvetica) I've seen in a while! She had recently eaten something rather large, as the bulge in her body was stretching the scales and revealing the dark skin beneath. #springwatch

I finally got around to seeing Early Spider Orchids (Ophrys sphegodes) along Dorset's Jurassic Coast recently. They're just amazing as I imagined! More info on my Instagram: instagram.com/phangurha_natu…

As we approach Adder 'dancing' season, I wanted to share this short film I made about the Adder breeding season here in Hampshire. I tried my luck at filming mating and male vs male combat – which was a success! The film can be view here: youtube.com/watch?v=0TeDzr… #springwatch

While in North Sumatra, It was fascinating to see this infant Sumatran Orangutan watching its mother extract termites from a branch and probably learning useful skills for its future adult life! #mothersday More of my images/videos can be viewed here: instagram.com/phangurha_natu…

A lesser-known mother for Mother's Day – the Silvery Lutung. Infants are bright orange, which is thought to help the females in a #Lutung troop keep track of the youngsters in the canopy as they raise them communally. More of my photos/videos here: instagram.com/phangurha_natu…
