Today, I had the pleasure of seeing the largest Grass Snake (Natrix helvetica) I've seen in a while! She had recently eaten something rather large, as the bulge in her body was stretching the scales and revealing the dark skin beneath. #springwatch

A great first full day on the Ardnamurchan peninsula with @naturetrektours. Classic Scottish wildlife highlights such as Pine Marten and Chequered Skipper, as well as a small colony of beautiful flowering Butterwort – a remarkable insect-eating plant!
