@ThatEricAlper I’ve got that one. It only plays if you put it at a 45 degree angle.

@arrakunrin A better controller and also a bit more fun. Retired my series x in December. No regrets. From an Xbox OG owner.

Bro. You see that quick resume and Backward compatibility that the Xbox has? It trumps everything that the PlayStation has.
You can turn off your game, unplug it from the socket for 2 months and when you plug it back in, your game will resume from where you last stopped like you didn’t turn it off at all.
No loading up or anything. Just jump right back into the game.
The only thing PlayStation has over Xbox is better exclusives for choice of games like The last of us, Ghost of Tsushima, Spiderman, God of War, Uncharted and the rest

@TheHomeCurrent I’ve Glgot a Concorde Blue which given yours is blue and mines black was a source of confusion 😂 excellent Fall Coverage. And metal box in the original tin is well worth it.

@batcountry1980 @robbskidmore I had nothing but disdain for nirvana. And then I heard their MTV unplugged and I realised I was so fucking wrong. In utero is a phenomenal album.

I liked Nirvana at the time, but I was in no way into them like their fans were. They weren’t one of my bands. I’ve grown to like them much more since then. I had In Utero on the other day. Smashing Pumpkins I loved at the time. They were actually one of the few bands I was really into at that time. I absolutely loved Mellon Collie and still do. The first three albums are all great, the second two being proper classics. I’d still say Nirvana are a great band, but just not one of my personal great bands. The only thing about them is of all the big, iconic bands they are the one that I find are most like a time capsule when I play them. I had Definitely Maybe on yesterday, the big band that kinda took over from Nirvana for a lot of people. And, aye it brings back memories, but for the most part I put the album on and it plays in the here and now. Nirvana I feel like I’m listening to the 90s. Thats not a comment on the quality of the music, but it feels very time stamped in a way no other band I can think of does. Mellon Collie sounds timeless because it pulls in influences from its present and past.
English

Nirvana’s music does not stand the test of time. But the Smashing Pumpkins does.
So ultimately Billy Corgan won out against Kurt Cobain.
Nirvana was hugely popular but I never listen to it anymore. I find Smashing Pumpkins more musical and listenable. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is a truly great album. Nirvana’s best was probably Unplugged.
What say you @batcountry1980 ?

English

@richardajkeys That’s some insight there Richard. No flies on you this Easter.

@JasonKingHQ You were mistaken. From the time he was writing a football column for the guardian I had him down as a cunt. Everything he’s done since then has only confirmed it.

@theliamnissan Had similar today. Mesh network supplier claims my password is a compromised one so disconnected every device from the service until I reset it. Bastards.

@northolt3103 Sort your cables out. Give your head a fucking wobble.

@batcountry1980 @jonny_ruela Watched it on Xmas Eve a long time ago. Please don’t make the same mistake as me ….

@batcountry1980 @timetogetalone Music for music teachers. Sloop John B ruined for me as we were forced to sing it for eisteddfod at the age of 6 every day for 6 weeks and we weren’t even fucking Welsh just plastic scousers. Tried to listen to pet sounds in 1995. Just could not get through it. Thanks Mr Tobin.
English

@timetogetalone Tremendous album but Sloop John B and the title track really disrupt the flow. They’re good songs but they don’t suit the album.

@KateDerborn @LizKershawDJ So much for their DOGE initiative in Kent then ….. clearly the tories weren’t doing that bad a job 🤷🏼♂️

@AshfordLabour Reform at KCC declared an illegal migration emergency only 2 weeks ago precisely because this hopeless Labour government hasn’t the slightest intention of securing our borders. It’s total disgrace that Kent is picking up the bill for your failures.
