For too long, Tennessee politics has been dominated by cosmopolitan communists and race hustlers imposing their corrupt will on a deeply rural and conservative state. The General Assembly’s constitutional redrawing of Federal Districts affirms a foundational truth: Tennessee must be represented by Tennesseans, not socialist democrats. To the new TN-05: I will be your America First warrior in Congress. I will NOT yield nor back down to those who threaten our values and attack our Constitution. God has given me this opportunity, and I will use it to resurrect fierce nationalism and secure our state’s destiny and prosperity.

35% of people are going to be in a new district. And even those staying with the same number district might have a new candidate.

Rearranging more than 2/3 of the population months before a midterm election because the politicians care more about national power than representing the people is not democracy.

@estratton422 @phikapbob @Byzness Gerrymandering is established by the rules of the constitution, but the word was established by a Democrat Governor of Massachusetts who was the first to use it—before the Republican Party existed. And you’re lying to yourself if you believe Republicans have done it more.

It makes me very happy that the U.S. congressman for places like Vanderbilt, the Gulch, East Nashville, etc., will be a representative selected by the residents of counties like Jackson, Clay, Overton, Fentress, Putnam, White, DeKalb, etc., rather than the other way around.

@AlisonEids30039 @Byzness Wrong. Districts are ~770K and Davidson County is 720K. TN Dems proposed this in 2022. Nashville stays whole + Lavergne. Compact suburban district w biggest counties. Crazy how this simply makes sense. Only drawback is growth would overpopulate suburban district by next census.

Tennessee going 9-0 is simply a response to 9-0 Massachusetts. Massachusetts could have had a competitive district that would be D+1 than R+1 in 20 and 24 respectively, but they wanted 9-0. So Tennessee should too!

Fun fact: The last time Tennessee Democrats controlled redistricting they enacted this map that connected Shelby County with Williamson, Davidson, and Montgomery counties. The same party complaining about the new map that extends all over West Tennessee linking Williamson to Memphis did this.  By the way, Democrat Congressman Cohen who is leading the objections to the GOP map was state Senator Cohen (D) at the time. He voted for this!!!

The Supreme Court has opined that redistricting, like the judicial system, should be color-blind. The decision indicated states can redistrict based off partisan politics. Today, Tennessee joins other red and blue states in redrawing their congressional maps. @ltgovmcnally

Hey Tennessee- this insane map proposed today was created in consultation with the WH. And it once again redivides Nashville (we're already unable to get rep in congress) This was NOT in consultation with Tennesseeans- AT ALL! The TN GOP only cares what Stephen Miller wants.
