Malthe should now also be in the overall lead. Very promising by him, who earlier has shown good TT performances, but also climbs very well, so could battle for the overall GC. Julius was a bigger favourite on this stage for me, since he has many times done well on TTs

Also really impressive ride by the first year junior Mads Furenes🇳🇴(2009), who was the only other rider from the break who stayed in front of the peleton. Mads seemed being the strongest rider in the break as he was mostly pulling on the hills

Brandon Fedrizzi(2008) 🇮🇹 wins by an impressive performance the first stage of the Junior Peace Race! On a very hilly stage he manages to stay just in front of the peleton being in break, showing that he is definitely not only a sprinter but also manages tougher routes

This is what I would categories being a steal from Lotto Intermarche! In my eyes he is the fastest junior rider this year and has a potential of becoming a top sprinter. I am a fan of that he starts on their devo-team, so he can experience how it is winning on U23 level

I was a little annoyed on the Uno-X Carl Ras team throughout the stage, since they did not attack themselves, but only closed everything down. But their tactic was as beneficial as it can get. Lets see if they will ride in the same way next stages, or go more offensive

1. stage of Coupe President Juniors was won by Magnus Madsen🇩🇰 (2009) who secured his first UCI victory. His team controlled the race the whole day and closed down all attacks. His team mate Elias Andersen🇩🇰 (2008) finished second, making it a big day for the team

Conrad Haugsted🇩🇰 (2005) takes his first victory of the season in a sprint on the opening stage of Tour du Loir-et-Cher. Conrad has shown the last two seasons what a great sprint he has, so hopefully he can keep this level and be part of the best U23 sprinters rest of the season

Simon Defrance 🇫🇷 (2008) continues his strong final junior season with a win at Ster Van Zuid-Limburg. Marius Linde 🇩🇰 (2008) also impressed with a podium, pulling the lead group in the final stage but struggling on the climbs -more tactical racing could bring even better results

Magnus Åhman (2007) wins the first Danish amateur race he ever participated in as he has just graduated to senior level. It really takes some speed to beat Haugsted in a sprint! Also Benjamin Thestrup (2007) on fourth place is a first year senior

Since Malte Risbjerg (2008)🇩🇰 also sits in the front peleton by having avoided last kilometers crash, he secures a double Danish triumph. Guido Reybrouck Juniors is a race with almost all the best junior teams represented, so massive result for them both

What a start to her senior carrer for Alma Møller Rasmussen (2007) winning the BIWASE Cup, which is only the second stage race as senior. Although, her own teammates might be the biggest competition in the race, she shown great consistency, being in top 5 ln the first 3 stages

Kristian Egholm🇩🇰 (2004) is now for the second day in a row in the first echelon of AlUla Tour as one of the few riders together with his captain Milan. Egholm has not yet had many big results as U23 rider, but clearly shows his strengths on flat roads

Andreas Krogh Jensen (2005) who was a huge talent in his junior years, has still not found the level on the conti-scene after two years on BHS Bornholm. Therefore, he steps down to the amateur team Aalborg Sparekassen. Hopefully he will do well, so he can step up once again
