This is just amazingly, spectacularly bad timing.
And LCS isn't really a "better" MCM platform than these. Worse, in some ways.
IMO the only sensible thing to do right now would be an emergency reactivation given the circumstances, using whatever gear and folks can be found.

@philewing The claims are wrong, and I believe many know this. The AMCM community is down to one squadron on 53’s that should’ve been replaced more than a decade ago. Instead, we have ineffective tools to mitigate this.

Overlooked reason for the literacy crisis is that media has stopped pushing reading entirely. As recently as the 1990s books were at the center of culture. As kids it was drilled into us that to be successful, you had to read. We need a national campaign to make kids read again.
