@fredahshi sorry about that. I recommend to only put people with at least a PhD on a workshop committee. Also try to add people from different continents (asia, america, europe) and some high level professors. Thats from my experience organizing many workshops at KDD, ICDM, and many others.

Our workshop was rejected by #ICML2026. Despite having 3 professors (2 full profs) and 2 senior research scientists, the only reason for rejection was "you got an undergrad on the organizing committee," who is actually a highly competent incoming PhD student. (1/)

Today, I received reviews for one my research paper, where one reviewer suggested to cite 6 unrelated cryptography papers by a guy named Mehran Mozaffari Kermani (from USA). ... Suspicious!

In 2023, Overleaf reduced compile time for free users from 1 min. to 20 s. Now in 2025, they are reducing to 10 s. There is clearly a trend there. Any good alternatives to #overleaf ? It might be time to change.

o3 BEATS R1 OVERALL AND BLOWS EVERYONE ELSE AWAY IN CODING o3-mini high became the BEST LLM BY FAR when it comes to a combination of performance, speed, and price - beats o1, Sonnet, and others BY A LOT in coding - 2x cheaper than Sonnet and 15x cheaper than o1 - ~5x faster than R1 - 2nd best model right after o1 in all categories ChatLLM and CodeLLM now have o3-high if you want to play with it.

We will continue to improve our ability to serve models at lower cost, but we remain optimistic in our research roadmap, and will remain focused in executing on it. We're excited to ship better models to you this quarter and over the year!

Congrats to DeepSeek on producing an o1-level reasoning model! Their research paper demonstrates that they’ve independently found some of the core ideas that we did on our way to o1.

1/3 Today, an anecdote shared by an invited speaker at #NeurIPS2024 left many Chinese scholars, myself included, feeling uncomfortable. As a community, I believe we should take a moment to reflect on why such remarks in public discourse can be offensive and harmful.

5. PROMPT: A grandmother with neatly combed grey hair stands behind a colorful birthday cake with numerous candles at a wood dining room table, expression is one of pure joy and happiness, with a happy glow in her eye. She leans forward and blows out the candles with a gentle puff, the cake has pink frosting and sprinkles and the candles cease to flicker, the grandmother wears a light blue blouse adorned with floral patterns, several happy friends and family sitting at the table can be seen celebrating, out of focus. The scene is beautifully captured, cinematic, showing a 3/4 view of the grandmother and the dining room. Warm color tones and soft lighting enhance the mood..

@minchoi This one has also several defects like the guy at the bottom carrying a metal box without touching it, that drop and disappear and suddenly he flips backward, before a vehicle pass through his arm.

@minchoi Quite impressive. But still some issues are visible like the birds that disappear after they pass the selfie stick, the selfie stick that dont follow the neck when it moves, and the incorrect shadow.
