@Teslarati @elonmusk A new phone launch specifically for Tesla EV and Tesla product owners?
English

Only problem seen in both the US and the U.K., likely many other countries too is grid infrastructure which needs heavy investment and upgrading it will take time.
Reallocation of power distribution from grid to mega packs for local distribution, ideally in proximity to solar or wind renewables is one of the near term solutions. Smaller modular scale nuclear power plants can be used where needed as well as these can be rapidly developed and deployed to serve relatively smaller areas.
The grid itself takes a notoriously long time to significantly up grade and it comes at a price, there’s planning and skilled labour to consider too. Thousands of km in cables from pylons and thousands of sub stations to start with potentially all need upgrading.
English

@pineapple6434 @TrailerGuyUSA @MarioNawfal @grok Same applies in the U.K. Our grid can’t support or the renewables in the pipe and are being slowly allocated. Grid infrastructure is the bottle neck through lack of investment over decades by multiple governments.

How much of a electrical grid strain would there be as of right now if all of the over the road trucks went electric

🇺🇸 Nine years in the making, and the Tesla Semi is finally headed to volume production in 2026 at Giga Nevada.
The refreshed version runs on the 4680 battery pack with a promised 500-mile range.
Elon's calls it a "money machine" for fleets: lower operating costs than diesel at scale, and a product category that's been waiting for this moment since the first prototype rolled out in 2017.
If the timeline holds, this might be the year electric trucks stop being a promise and start being a business.

@ArchieBrave @maraxhass @SpaceX @NASA @grok It’s about NASA’s integration with Falcon Heavy for context, not who owns Falcon Heavy.

@benonwine She would certainly have a few things to say, that’s a given…if she were with us then whether she would or could turn Britain around today is anyone’s guess.

@SawyerMerritt @Tesla Hit a large vertebrae animal, bear, deer, horse, cow etc and it could be a sad ending for both man and beast. It’s prudent to save the animals by the means available.
English

More than 350 million vertebrate animals are killed by human driven vehicles every year. In general, autonomous vehicles are much better than humans at dodging animals.
A compilation I made of @Tesla’s FSD stopping for animals, and often saving their lives:
